Employee Benefits Enrollment
- The State of Minnesota offers a variety of insurance benefits and plans for eligible employees. Most of these benefits are administered by the Department of Finance & Employee Relations (DOER) according to the various union contracts or plans.
- New employees must enroll within the first 35 days of their employment.
- Coverage is effective following a 35-calendar day waiting period. Coverage begins on the 36th day of employment.
- Benefit information and enrollment instructions are mailed to your home address by the Department of Finance & Employee Relations shortly after your first day of employment. See Benefits Checklist...
